Planet Eaters
Since the dawn of civilization, Man has sought in the heavens for omens of good or ill. Had we known what lurked among the stars, humanity might have kept our eyes on the ground.
Five years ago, astronomers discovered a new celestial body: a six-tailed, golden-hued comet streaking its way into Earth's solar system. The trajectory of the comet put it on course to pass within 67 million miles of Earth in 2007. This presented a unique opportunity for scientists to launch an intercept probe and study the most elusive of celestial wanderers. In late 2006, the Harbinger Comet Explorer launched and successfully intercepted the comet eight months later. The probe transmitted less than three seconds of video before contact was lost. Though awash in light and indistinct, more than a few observers claimed the images depicted a shape that resembled a giant eye.
Within hours of losing contact with the probe, the comet appeared to change course, intelligently! Its new trajectory would intercept Earth in less than five months. The defense forces of every major nation worked feverishly to move the comet off course with a barrage of nuclear warheads but to no avail. Four hundred thousand miles from Earth, the comet split into six separate fragments that crashed at equidistant corners of the globe. Earthquakes and tsunamis shook the planet, and a sizable portion of Chicago disappeared forever in a massive crater that has since altered the contour of Lake Michigan. The Planet Eaters were here.
From the devastation caused by the impacts emerged six gargantuan, ravenous creatures and a host of lesser minions. These space-born terrors of impenetrable flesh and glistening metal stormed the landscape and devoured all but the very ground they walked upon. With no apparent purpose other than to consume everything in their path, these alien horrors continue to raze cities and repel every military force that dares stand before them. Humanity's only peace comes when it seems these creatures have had their fill for a time and burrow deep beneath the Earth's surface for a brief hibernation. Such respite brings little solace, however, for the beasts always return hungrier than before.

Mega Gorghadra
Gorghadra embodies pure destruction. In his Ultra form the Annihilate skill makes every attack he lands cause Super Damage. With impressive Brawl, Blast, and Power stats Ultra Gorghadra is a very versatile monster. He also makes sure that his units perform at their destructive best, by granting every combined attack an extra boost die. With Health 5 Ultra Gorghadra relies on being able to take out the opposing monster quickly, as he cannot win a war of attrition, lacking any way to regain lost health.
In his Mega Form, Gorghadra sacrifices extra damage output for amazing resiliency allowing him to win any pure slugfest he finds himself in. With an astounding Health 9, Mega Gorghadra can confidently stride into danger that other monsters fear. It becomes sound strategy to move into position where Mega Gorghadra might take 3 or 4 damage from a power attack if he can return the favor on his activation. In general Mega Gorghadra will be left with health equal to that of what most other monsters start with, while his opponent will be one power attack away from destruction.
While Gorghadra likes to get up close and personal, Mega Gorghadra really shines as a blaster. With Blast 7 and 4 boost dice and the Energy Cycle Advantage, Mega Gorghadra can set up multiple activations to blast his opponent to dust. He also gives all agenda figures Radar, which gives their blast attacks +2 range. Thanks to the extra range, Agenda units have to move less, leaving more action dice for multiple combined attacks. Since Radar affects Mega Gorghadra as well, his blast attacks have a lethal range of 7leaving little out of his reach. Combined with the Siphon and Chain Reaction Blast Triggers, Mega Gorghadra can quickly amass a large pool of Power dice beyond regular methods.
Overall Mega Gorghadra affords players a lot of breathing room in a game where a single attack can mean the difference between victory and defeat. Mega Gorghadra shines in battles of attrition, and any monster who trades blows one for one will find themselves quickly down for the count. While he lacks the outrageous offensive power of Ultra Gorghadra, Mega Gorghadra requires the same aggressive play style, trusting in his endurance to carry him to final victory.
